Miss Your GIC Regional Tryout? We’ve Got You Covered.
- This specific TryOut Waiver Election is specifically for athletes trying out for regions that who's try out date has already passed.
We recognize that unexpected situations arise—and that not every athlete lives within close proximity to a GIC Regional Tryout. In some cases, athletes may learn about the GIC All-Star Program after their regional tryout has already taken place, or may have planned to attend as a walk-up registrant but were prevented from doing so due to an emergency. To ensure that every deserving athlete still has an opportunity to be evaluated, we have created an alternative pathway for consideration.
While in-person tryouts are strongly encouraged—allowing athletes to meet coaches, connect with potential teammates, and showcase their abilities firsthand—we understand that attendance is not always possible.
If the tryout date for your local and/or preferred region has passed, you may still be eligible to participate by submitting a tryout waiver and paying the post-regional tryout registration fee. Once received, your waiver will be reviewed and, if approved, your name will be added to the athlete pool for evaluation by regional coaches.
Because we are unable to assess your skills in person, highlights are required for review. Please provide your Instagram handle so our staff can evaluate your performance through available footage. You will also have the opportunity to submit additional web links or social media profiles to support your evaluation.
Please Note: Because in-person tryouts are strongly encouraged, athletes who register for an in-person tryout prior to the scheduled tryout date are eligible for a discounted registration rate of $35.00.
Additionally, athletes who submit a tryout waiver before the in-person tryout date also qualify for the $35.00 discounted rate, as early submissions allow GIC staff and coaches to plan, evaluate, and coordinate regional rosters efficiently, and in a timely manner.
